So what are operating systems?

The video below gives a quick and basic explanation of what operating systems are, and the various types of technological devices which use operating systems. Two of the most commonly used operating systems are Microsoft Windows and Mac OS10.

We have become extremely dependent on our digital technological devices, which means these giant tech companies will continue to feed us with their advancements and upgrades. Where will this all take us? What will we become? I fear a world controlled not by humans, but rather an army of advanced digital technologies through these operating systems!
